Solid or engineered

Two kinds of hardwood.
Real wood either way.

Which one fits depends on your subfloor, the moisture in the space, and the look and wear you want. We bring samples of both to your home, so you compare them in your own light.

How we install

Six steps.
None of them skipped.

  1. Check the subfloor

Flat, dry, clean and solid. We fix squeaks and dips first, because a floor is only as good as what's under it.

  2. Acclimate the wood

The boards rest in your home before installation, so they adjust before they're fastened down.

  3. Plan the layout

Board direction, the starting line and room-to-room transitions are decided before the first board.

  4. Fasten it right

Nailed or glued down, with the expansion gap the wood needs.

  5. Finish the edges

Transitions, thresholds, baseboards and vents, so the floor looks finished where it meets the room.

  6. Finish the surface, then walk it with you

Prefinished floors are cleaned and inspected. Site-finished floors are sanded and coated. Then we do the final walkthrough together.

Based in Atlanta. Working nearby.

Our office is at 810 Huntcliff Village Ct, Atlanta, GA 30350. Not sure we cover your street? Enter your ZIP in the form and we'll tell you.

How long does installation take?

It depends on your square footage, the product, the subfloor and whether the floor is finished on site. You get a realistic schedule with your estimate, then regular updates through our project platform once work starts.

Should I choose solid or engineered hardwood?

Both are real wood. The right one depends on your subfloor, moisture and the look and wear you want. We bring samples to your home so you can see both before you decide.

Does the wood need to acclimate?

In most cases, yes. The wood sits in your home before installation so it can adjust to the space before it's nailed or glued down.

Which species and board widths can I choose?

Oak is a common choice: it's durable and takes a wide range of stain tones. Board width changes how a room feels, so we show you the options in your home's light.

Can you match new floors to the floors I already have?

Often, yes. We look at both floors first and test the color before we commit to a match.

Who does the work?

Our own crew, never subcontractors. The owner supervises every project, from the first visit to the final walkthrough.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Our workmanship warranty terms are in your estimate.
