Sanding is the messy part, so we plan for it: dust control, protection for the rooms around the work and a cleanup at the end of every day. You also get regular updates through our project platform.

Can every hardwood floor be refinished?
No. Most solid hardwood can, but deep pet stains, water damage and thin engineered wear layers may need repair first. We look at your floors in person before we give a price.
Will refinishing remove every scratch?
Surface scratches, yes. Deep gouges may still show after sanding. We look at them in person and tell you what to expect.
Can engineered hardwood be refinished?
Sometimes. It depends on how thick the real-wood wear layer is, and we check that before we recommend it.
Water-based or oil-based finish?
Water-based dries faster, has less odor and gives a more natural look. Oil-based gives a warmer, amber tone and cures more slowly.
When can I use the room again?
It depends on the product and the conditions in your home. We give you clear guidance for your project, so you can plan around it.
Can I change the color when I refinish?
Yes. Sanding takes the floor back to bare wood, so it's the right moment to change color or sheen.
Is refinishing faster than replacing the floor?
In most cases, yes. Renewing the floor you have takes less time and causes less disruption than tearing it out and installing new wood.
